Philip Raby has been fascinated by Porsches - and in particular 911s - since he was a young boy. An experienced motoring journalist, he has researched and written numerous magazine articles on 911s in all their forms.
He's also been lucky enough, through the course of his work, to have driven most types of 911, from the earliest to the latest models. Philip finds it hard to cite a favourite, claiming that any 911 gives him a thrill, but he does admit to having a soft-spot for a very early 1965 example he once drove. Not surprisingly, Philip's owned several Porsches, including a couple of 964-model 911s, a model that's close to his heart.
Such is his passion for 911s that in 2005 Philip set up Total 911 magazine, a worldwide publication dedicated solely to this motoring legend.
Philip lives with his wife and two children on the south coast of England where, when he's not driving Porsches, he indulges his other passion which is sailing.
